While I think it’s good to search for joy, gratitude, and meaning in times like these, also understand that “negative” or “bad feelings” are perfectly okay and acceptable feelings right now. My social media feed is full of people finding joy at home with their families, and I love that, but what you’re not seeing are their struggles. Be careful not to start comparing your life to other people’s highlight reel. Don’t beat yourself up because you’re not the picture perfect homeschool mom, or you’re not seeming to adapt as quick as other to this new lifestyle.

If you’re having a hard time right now - that’s okay! I am too! I’ve been triggered in every way possible and all of my habits are presenting themselves - anxiety, numbing, my inner critic, comparing, isolating, catastrophizing, perfectionism, people pleasing...you name it! The important thing is to listen to the thoughts in your head and question them. Try some self awareness today. When you can pause for just a minute and catch yourself freaking out, you can get yourself back to calm. Don’t put pressure on yourself today. Don’t try to get it all “right.” Just BE in the day. I’m going to work on this myself today. Praying I can search for some joy and calm my brain. I’m with you friend, I know we can get through this together. ❤️

Our poor Sophie took a rattlesnake 🐍 bite to the eye last night 😳 she lost her eye but thankfully doesn’t seem to have brain damage. We got the anti venom just in time. Man that must have hurt!! I feel so bad for her! Praying she can fully recover but she’s not out of the woods just yet. Y’all be careful outside playing, snakes are coming out! ☀️🐍
