Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis + a giveaway

Girl Wash Your Face Giveaway

Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis released last February 2018. Since then, at least twenty people have told me to read it. Over and over again, friends would tell me to read this book. Every time I thought, I don’t need to read it, I already wash my face.

I finally read this amazing little book, and it has opened my eyes and given me the strength and courage to change my life, and be the woman I was meant to be.

Turns out, I was NOT washing my face. I mean, I was close, maybe using a makeup remover wipe, but not really washing it with soap and hot water. I still had leftover mascara under my eyes!

Here is the synopsis:

Do you ever suspect that everyone else has life figured out and you don’t have a clue? If so, Rachel Hollis has something to tell you: that’s a lie.

As the founder of the lifestyle website and CEO of her own media company, Rachel Hollis developed an immense online community by sharing tips for better living while fearlessly revealing the messiness of her own life. Now, in this challenging and inspiring new book, Rachel exposes the twenty lies and misconceptions that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively, lies we’ve told ourselves so often we don’t even hear them anymore.

With painful honesty and fearless humor, Rachel unpacks and examines the falsehoods that once left her feeling overwhelmed and unworthy, and reveals the specific practical strategies that helped her move past them. In the process, she encourages, entertains, and even kicks a little butt, all to convince you to do whatever it takes to get real and become the joyous, confident woman you were meant to be.

With unflinching faith and rock-hard tenacity, Girl, Wash Your Face shows you how to live with passion and hustle–and how to give yourself grace without giving up.

Rachel Hollis spoke directly to my soul. She spelled out everything I’ve been thinking and trying to sort out in my head for years. By going through lies that she used to tell herself, and then explaining how these lies are false and how she overcame them, she helps you rethink they way you live your life each day.

Some of these lies include:

I’m not good enough

I’ll start tomorrow

I’m not a good mom

I need to make myself smaller

I need a drink

I am defined by my weight

…there are many more lies. Sooooo many lies that we tell ourselves every day, and they are only holding us back!

We need to get out of our own way girlfriends!

This is an easy quick read. If you can, listen to the book on Audible, because Rachel tells this story so well in her own voice.

Rachel talks a lot about practicing gratitude, and that’s why I’m including this Daily Gratitude Journal in my giveaway of her book. I have been waking up and practicing this each morning, and it has helped shift my focus in so many amazing ways.
