The Huntsman: Winter’s War
Synopsis from the Website: Betrayed by her evil sister Ravenna (Charlize Theron), heartbroken Freya (Emily Blunt) retreats to a northern kingdom to raise an army of huntsmen as her protectors. Gifted with the ability to freeze her enemies in ice, Freya teaches her young soldiers to never fall in love. When Eric (Chris Hemsworth) and fellow warrior Sara defy this rule, the angry queen does whatever she can to stop them. As war between the siblings escalates, Eric and Sara unite with Freya to end Ravenna’s wicked reign.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this movie. I know I really liked the first one (Snow White and the Huntsman) because it had Snow White, but I thought that movie ended when Snow White vanquished Ravenna and took her place as Queen. How can they make a sequel? Well, they can give Ravenna a sister and start the story before Snow White. This movie tells the story of Freya, the Evil Ice Queen. Which is pretty cool because she’s like a wicked Elsa from Frozen.
I would have to say that this movie is even better than the first. I loved the plot and the writing. The special effects were out of this world. The Queen’s costumes were absolutely gorgeous. Freya’s powers are awesome. The Huntsman and his girl, Sara, have the most romantic love story. There is action, and twists, and heartbreak. Loved it!
I would not recommend this movie for children. It’s PG-13, and has some intense battle scenes and love scenes. But for adults, go see it! Have you seen it yet? Tell me what you thought below.

I was on the fence too, but I’m glad I saw it. It’s told as a fairytale which I love. Also Emily Blunt rocked it. Let me know your thoughts after you see it!
